Frequently Asked Questions

What Can I Expect My Child to Learn at Gold Swim School?

At Gold Swim School, we are proud to be an accredited Swim America facility, known for our float-swim-float program that emphasizes correct stroke technique from the start. Safety is our top priority; mastery of floating is essential before advancing to more complex skills. Our approach ensures that each child learns and progresses at their own pace. To recognize and encourage achievements, we use a ribbon-based system. As swimmers master each level, they earn ribbons and celebrate their accomplishments. Once your child earns their 10th ribbon, they are ready to explore the full world of swimming!

What Is the Evaluation Process and How Often Is My Child Evaluated?

Your child’s progress is monitored daily by both their instructor and the Lesson Director. This frequent evaluation allows swimmers to advance at their own pace. To celebrate achievements and motivate continued progress, we use a ribbon system. As your child masters new skills, they earn ribbons and get to ring the bell in celebration! Our goal is to create a safe, supportive environment that encourages skill retention. Instructors will notify you when your child is ready to move to the next level.

What Happens When My Child Earns All 10 Ribbons?

Once your child has earned all 10 ribbons, we encourage them to join our Pre-Competitive Gold Swim Team. This transition allows them to continue their progress, build endurance, and prepare for competitive swimming. As long as space is available, moving to the next level is straightforward.

What Is the Right Lesson Group for My Child?
