    Owner

    From her roots in Tupelo, MS, Coach Beth Murphy has brought a wealth of experience and passion to the world of swimming. Having recently transitioned from her role as Head Coach and Age Group Coach at the Woodstock Aquatic Center, she now serves as the Lesson Director and Facility Manager for Gold Swim School, a role she embraces with enthusiasm and dedication. Alongside her husband, Pat, she co-owns Chattahoochee Gold, a testament to their shared commitment to the sport.

    With 25 years of coaching and teaching swim lessons under her belt, Coach Beth is driven by a mission to foster meaningful, lasting connections between swimmers and the sport. Her focus is not just on teaching swimming techniques but on building enduring relationships that extend to friends, family, and the community. Her deep-rooted passion for swimming and dedication to her students shine through in every lesson, making her an inspiring leader in the swim education community.

    Lesson Director

    Myka Murphy's journey with Chattahoochee Gold is as deep as it is inspiring. Born and raised within this vibrant community of our swim program, she embodies a lifelong commitment to excellence in aquatic education. With a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from Juilliard and a passion for opera, Myka seamlessly balances her musical pursuits with her dedication to swim instruction.

    As our Lesson Director, Myka is driven by a profound sense of pride in contributing to water safety within the community. Her focus is on delivering exceptional experiences for every swimmer, ensuring that each lesson is both enjoyable and effective. Her unique blend of artistic discipline and commitment to teaching makes her a dynamic leader, dedicated to fostering a safe and supportive environment for all.

  • Lauren Velasquez

    Site Supervisor

    Mrs. Lauren brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role as one of our site supervisors. Having previously served as our Lesson Director, Lauren made the transition to site supervision following the birth of her baby, allowing her to balance her family life with her passion for swimming.

    With a background as a swim coach for Chattahoochee Gold, Lauren's expertise spans every aspect of becoming a great swimmer. Her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Gardner-Webb University, where she earned All-Conference Team honors all four years, underscores her commitment to excellence both in and out of the pool.

    Lauren's deep understanding of swimming and her hands-on experience make her a vital asset to our team, ensuring that every aspect of site management is handled with professionalism and care.

    Site Supervisor

    Stacy is a cherished member of our Gold Swim School family, bringing over 40 years of experience in teaching swimming. Her extensive background and dedication make her an invaluable addition to our team. As she transitions to a full-time role with us, Stacy is thrilled to immerse herself fully in supporting your family's swimming journey.

    Her passion for swimming and commitment to each student’s growth shine through in everything she does. Stacy is excited to play a key role in guiding your children and your family through an enriching and safe swimming experience.

    Front Desk Associate

    Kyle is one of our newest team members, and his enthusiasm for our program has quickly made him a valued part of the Chattahoochee Gold family. Having fallen in love with what we do, he has embraced his role as Front Desk Associate and substitute instructor with great passion.

    We are thrilled to have Kyle on board, where his energy and dedication enhance our front desk operations and support our instructional team. His positive attitude and commitment make him a wonderful addition to our community.

    Mrs. Ginger has been a valued member of our Gold Swim School instructor team for several years. With over a decade of experience in the swim lesson industry, including roles at Lifetime, Safesplash, and private instruction, she brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to our program.

    In addition to her swim instruction expertise, Mrs. Ginger has a unique passion—she officiates weddings! Her diverse skills and warm personality make her an exceptional and well-rounded part of our team.

    Ms. Addyson is a passionate enthusiast of the swimming world and a dedicated member of the Chattahoochee Gold family. Having been a part of our associated swim team for nearly many years, she brings a deep understanding of the sport and a genuine love for swimming.

    Her experience as a camp counselor and instructor has equipped her with valuable skills in working with children. Ms. Addyson is excited to continue sharing her enthusiasm for swimming and her teaching skills with our students, making a positive impact in their learning journey.

    Ms. Hannah is a shining example of our swim program’s success story. Having started with us as a student—right in the same pool—she progressed through our swim team throughout high school, showcasing her dedication and love for the sport.

    Now, as a fabulous instructor, Ms. Hannah brings her extensive experience and enthusiasm to every lesson. Her creativity extends beyond the pool, as she also delights our students with her fun and artistic chalkboard drawings. We are proud to have her as a key part of our team, where her journey from student to instructor inspires and motivates our swimmers.

    Ms. Lianna is one of our newest recruits, bringing a lifelong passion for swimming to our team. Having swum on summer league teams throughout her childhood, she has a deep-rooted love for the sport.

    Currently studying at Kennesaw State University, Lianna is thrilled to contribute to our program and help your children develop their swimming skills. Her enthusiasm and dedication are sure to make a positive impact as she supports our students in mastering all their skills in and around the pool.
