A little bit about Safety Week

The water can be a scary place. When that fear hits, it can feel overwhelming, suffocating—and you are not even in the water yet. Fear can be totally debilitating, which is why we focus on the foundation of safety. We want you and your swimmers to have an instinctual reaction in any scary, real world situation.

This is why we have brought back our safety weeks. The week of October 4th, we took the time to focus on what lessons are all about: safety. We spoke about possible real world situations. We questioned “how would you handle this?” If someone gave a potentially dangerous response, we spoke about why that would be dangerous and how it would be best for everyone’s safety.

Overall, it was a great success. Not only was it fun, but it was a great way for our young fishies to think on their feet within a controlled environment. As we always say, confident swimmers learn quicker and it is obvious that these swimmers are on the right path to their 10th ribbon!
